Together for Texas Image: Facebook.com

Last night, our client Natalie Grant put together the Together for Texas concert to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston. The Facebook Live concert featured Matt Maher and a bunch of other Christian music friends. This concert raised over $200,000 dollars for Convoy of Hope and reached over 2 million people Thursday night. Maher spoke of the need for the church to get together for to support causes and make change more often. The concert featured some of Christian music’s best in a worship service for the flood victims.

The concert was a great success, and it will bring a lot of help to those affected in Houston. The endeavor is bringing into focus the importance of social media as a tool for bringing about change. Facebook Live is a newer medium, and this event brings to light just how effective it can be for engagement.

Congratulations to Natalie Grant and Convoy of Hope for bringing help and hope to so many, and for a successful concert that was a groundbreaking use of social media.
